Who
We Are:

Skokie Indians
Little League, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2007, is a no-cut
league in which all players make a team and play in every game.
The league is chartered by Little League Baseball, Inc., of Williamsport,
Pennsylvania.
Skokie Indians is the official Little League affiliate for
Skokie and Evanston, but we welcome enthusiastic players from all
surrounding communities.
During the 2006 season, over 750 players participated in the
League's activities. Boys and girls ages 5 through 15 played
baseball in six "house" leagues from mid-April through
late June. After June, Skokie Indians also offers traveling all
star teams, summer leagues and fall leagues.
League Philosophy:
Skokie Indians Little League is an instructional
league committed to teaching the fundamentals of
baseball while fostering the qualities of leadership and
citizenship in our players. The League believes in good competition within a framework of fair play and team spirit. The
League does not subscribe to the philosophy of winning at all
costs. In fact, League rules are made to provide good
competition while encouraging personal development–both physical
and emotional. Our goal is to have our players finish the
season happy and fulfilled. We wish our players to have experienced the
thrills of competitive baseball while learning the meaning
of being a productive supportive team member.
Organizational Structure:
Skokie
Indians Little League is a not-for-profit organization run by
volunteers. The organization is supervised by a Board of Directors who meet
monthly throughout the year. The Board President and Directors are
elected annually. The operation of Skokie Indians Little League is the
primary responsibility for the Board of Directors, including finances,
scheduling, arranging fields and permits, conducting evaluations and team
assignments.
